Vanesa Lorena Tate – Creative Director, Supervising Sound Editor & Sound Designer, Composer
Vanesa Lorena Tate started composing and exploring sounds at the age of four, playing the recorder and piano. She then passed on playing guitar and violin at the “Rudolf Steiner Schule” school. At the age of 9 she enrolled at the “Conservatorio de la Lucila” (Buenos Aires – Argentina) for Piano and Flute. As her family moved to Italy she carried on her studies at the “Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi di Milano”. She graduated from Flute and Piccolo at the above mentioned conservatoire.
She is a former student of the Royal Academy of Music (London 1997- 2001) in the Media and Applied Music Course. She studied under Nick Ingman (Matrix Reloaded, Lara Croft Tomb Raider, Shakespeare in Love), Rick Wentworth (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Lara Croft Tomb Raider) and James Brett (X-Men, The Island).
She freelances in London and Los Angeles as a Senior Sound Designer, Supervising Sound Editor, Media Composer, Music Editor, Location Sound Mixer and Recording Engineer and Mixer. She has been working along side Oscar winning directors Walter Salles (On The Road), Guillermo Del Toro (Hellboy 2, Pan’s Labyrinth), Tim Burton (Sweeney Todd), Alejandro Gonzalez Iñarritu (Babel, 21 Grams, Biutiful), David Yates (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix) Stephen Frears (Cheri) and Kevin Reynolds (Robin Hood, Tristan & Isolde).
Dominique Devoucoux – Managing Director
Dominique studied Economics in Paris, Dublin and London and started her career in the media industry for Reuters (London) in 1998. In 2001 she was recruited as an account manager for the award-winning advertising agency WUNDERMAN Paris (WPP) and then got transferred to WUNDERMAN London in 2003 where she delivered pan-European media campaigns for blue-chip accounts such as IBM and Star Alliance. Using her background in Economics and International business, she gained essential client facing and project management skills.
In late 2005 she founded Tate Post along side sound designer and composer Vanesa Tate.
To date she has post supervised over 150 projects acting as a post production supervisor/coordinator, sound services director and audio producer. She usually gets involved early on with projects working alongside producers, reading scripts, helping with film funds applications.
She regularly attends films festival and markets including Sundance, Berlinale/EFM, Cannes, Toronto, London/PFM, E3, Gamescom.
Together they have worked on establishing the company as a well-respected post-production studio capable of operating in London and abroad.
